Established in 1943, under the name Amathus Navigation, Amathus Ltd has grown over the years into a diversified business organization, covering a wide spectrum of investment sectors, including hotels, leisure & entertainment, shipping, aviation, and travel & tourism.

Through its subsidiary, Amathus Corporation, the company acts as passenger and cargo general sales agent for airlines, provides incoming tourism services, and operates ticketing and travel retail shops in Cyprus, Greece, and Malta. Amathus Corporation is the owner and operator of Let’s Go Tours, one of the leading outgoing tour operators on the island and a key partner in 2Serve, a specialised company providing ground handling services at Cyprus airports. Amathus Corporation is also active in shipping and cargo transportation through, Amathus Aegeas, which provides port agency, ship agency, chartering, and cargo transportation and logistics services, and holds a portfolio of investments in shipping, including a minority shareholding in Frontmarine.

Amathus Leisure, a subsidiary of Amathus Ltd, is an investment company operating in the broader leisure and entertainment field and is the major shareholder of C.C. Coffee Company which is the owner of the international chain Gloria Jean’s Coffees in Cyprus and Cremoso Gelato Artigianale ice cream outlets chain. Amathus Leisure is also the major shareholder of Heaven's Garden Waterpark, owner of Fasouri Watermania Waterpark.

Amathus Ltd participates in the ownership of luxury hotels such as the Amathus Beach Hotel Limassol (through its associate company Amathina Holdings) and the Olympic Lagoon Resort and Amavi Hotel in Pafos (through its associated companies K.A. Olympic Lagoon Resorts and Hortitsa).

Until 2022 the company was listed in the CSE (Cyprus Stock Exchange) under the company name Amathus Public Ltd.
